The strength of our league comes from our dedicated volunteers! We are grateful for all of our parents, families and community members who put in hours of work fundraising, grounds keeping, handling concessions, umpiring, managing a team, and coaching. Without these volunteers, our children would not have this opportunity to play baseball in Blue Lake. We encourage all parents to volunteer with our league in whatever capacity they are able.

Volunteer coaches will need to complete the following steps:

1. Create an account on this website. Sign up for a Head Coach or Assistant Coach Volunteer Role.
2. Complete your livescan fingerprinting. You can do this at the Blue Lake Rancheria by scheduling an appointment at 707.668.5300. They will invoice the league directly. No fees required. This is a California requirement (AB 506) for any regular volunteers who have contact with children, and only required with BLFLL one time. Print this Live Scan Form and take it with you.
3. Complete the JDP Background Check. This will be emailed to you. This is a Little League requirement and must be completed annually.
4. Complete the following online trainings. Send certificates of completion to board member Jennifer Mager: [email protected]

• Mandated Reporter Online Training. This is a Little League and California requirement and must be completed annually: https://www.mandatedreporterca.com/training/volunteers
• Heads Up Concussion Training. For all coaches and umpires. This is a Little League requirement and must be completed annually. https://www.train.org/cdctrain/course/1089818
• Complete the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Training. This is for all coaches and umpires. This is a Little League requirement and must be completed annually. https://epsavealife.org/sca-prevention-training/
• Attend a Fundamentals and First Aid Coach Clinic. Schedule TBD.
